If you haven’t heard already, Instagram was recently bought by Facebook for $1 billion. This acquisition comes only a few days after the announcement of the popular iOS app becoming available on Android and after Instagram closed another round of funding; valued at over $500 million.
One hand, this purchase seems like a pretty sweet deal for Instagram but there are plenty of users out there that aren’t happy about the buy and future of their beloved app; love it or hate it, Instagram is moving on.
What is Instagram?
Well, it’s an app that become wildly popular on iOS and as mentioned, recently became available on Android. Instagram says, “It’s a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your photos with friends and family. Snap a picture, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram. Share to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr too – it’s as easy as pie. It’s photo sharing, reinvented. Oh yeah, did we mention it’s free?”
Ready to Leave Instagram?
One of the concerns that has always surrounded Facebook is their privacy policies; Instagram users now worry their data may be comprised.
